FAQ's

Get ready for an amazing week!
  • What link should I share with others who want to register a camper?  https://coasthills.church/winter-camp

  • Do I have to register with Coast Hills? Yes. If you want to be part of the Coast Hills cabins/groups and ride our buses, your registration must be done through Coast Hills. Please do not register directly through Hume Lake. Registrations made directly through Hume will not be affiliated with Coast Hills.

  • How can I confirm my student is signed up for camp with the $100 deposit? You will receive a confirmation email verifying that the deposit of $100 has been paid. (This email often is routed to spam boxes). Under your student’s profile in GoMethod, you will see HUME listed under “Active Trips” with the amount of money that has been paid.

  • Waitlists: Once the spots are filled, we will start a waitlist. At that time, information will be provided on our Hume Lake (https://coasthills.church/winter-camp) page on how to secure a spot on the waitlist.

  • What platform do we use for registration and how can I prepare in advance of the registration launch? We use GoMethod for our Winter Camp registration process. If you have registered for Hume Summer Camp through Coast Hills in 2023 – 2026, you have already set up an account.
    • If you do not have an account yet, you can create one before registration opens or you can create one at the time of registration. Parents and guardians registering minors for events are required to create an account, even if the parent or guardian is not attending the event.
    • Click here to create an account (prior to registration release)
    • From the login page, click Need an account?.
    • Title: The login page. The Need an account? link is at the bottom, highlighted in red.
    • Enter your first and last name and email address.
    • Click Sign Me Up! to continue.
    • Check your email for a confirmation email and directions for activating your account. Click on the link sent in the confirmation email to continue creating an account.
    • Enter your birthday, gender, and create a password on the activation page.
    • Once complete, click Activate Account.

  • EMAILS: Will the guardian account receive emails sent through GoMethod? Guardian accounts are required for participants under the age of 18. Guardians should be a parent or legal guardian as they are required to sign documents for events. Guardian accounts have full access to the same dashboard the minor sees. Guardians can click on a minor's name to see who has been accepted on the trip and exactly where the minor is in the application process. Also, guardians can complete requirements that minors may not be able to, for example, signing a legal document that a minor can't because they are underage.
    • Guardians do not automatically receive emails about changes to an event. If a minor has their own email address, their guardian should log in to their account and check for updates often.

  • What can I do to make sure I receive any updates, packing lists, etc? Make sure your email address is correct in GoMethod! We will also be adding information to our main Hume Page (https://coasthills.church/hume).
    • NOTE: If you inputted your child’s email when registering, please make sure to also check your child’s email address for communications. *Some emails may get routed to spam.

They may not tell us how much you receive until about 30 days out from the trip.
