Scholarships/”camperships”
- What link should I share with others who want to register a camper? https://coasthills.church/hume
- Do I have to register with Coast Hills? Yes. If you want to be part of the Coast Hills cabins/groups and ride our buses, your registration must be done through Coast Hills. Please do not register directly through Hume Lake. Registrations made directly through Hume will not be affiliated with Coast Hills.
- How can I confirm my student is signed up for camp with the $300 deposit? You will receive a confirmation email verifying that the deposit of $300 has been paid. (This email often is routed to spam boxes). Under your student’s profile in GoMethod, you will see HUME listed under “Active Trips” with the amount of money that has been paid.
- Waitlists: Once the spots are filled, we will start a waitlist. At that time, information will be provided on our Hume Lake (https://coasthills.church/hume) page on how to secure a spot on the waitlist.
- What platform do we use for registration and how can I prepare in advance of the registration launch? We use GoMethod for our Hume Summer Camp registration process. If you have registered for Hume Summer Camp through Coast Hills in 2023 – 2025, you have already set up an account.
- If you do not have an account yet, you can create one before registrationopens or you can create one at the time of registration. Parents and guardians registering minors for events are required to create an account, even if the parent or guardian is not attending the event.

- EMAILS: Will the guardian account receive emails sent through GoMethod? Guardian accounts are required for participants under the age of 18. Guardians should be a parent or legal guardian as they are required to sign documents for events. Guardian accounts have full access to the same dashboard the minor sees. Guardians can click on a minor's name to see who has been accepted on the trip and exactly where the minor is in the application process. Also, guardians can complete requirements that minors may not be able to, for example, signing a legal document that a minor can't because they are underage.
- Guardians do not automatically receive emails about changes to an event. If a minor has their own email address, their guardian should log in to their account and check for updates often.

- Hume Lake Medical Release Forms: Hume Lake has a specific set of online forms that include Hume Lake Medical forms and other necessary information. They may also have you sign up for some of the activities ahead of time. Coast Hills also medical release/behavior contract form that you will need to download from your registration page. Scholarships/”camperships”
- Applying for Hume Lake Scholarships/Camperships: Once registered, you will receive an email from Hume Lake a few days later to complete their online medical and necessary information. In that email, there is a section to request a ‘campership’ (which is their version of a scholarship) and a questionnaire to complete. They may not tell us how much you receive until about 30 days out from the trip.
- Fundraising: After the deposit is paid, you will see a Personal Trip URL. Use this link to share with family and friends to contribute directly to your student. Note: Direct contributions to a specific student are not tax-deductible.
- Does Coast Hills provide any scholarship funds? Each year the amount of money available for scholarships varies. After you have completed Hume Lake’s “campership” form, please let Karen (Karen@coasthills.church) know that you have submitted the request to Hume. She will also make note to add your name to an inquiry list for Coast Hills scholarships.
