Her Story...
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. - 1 Corinthians 15:10

Ever since graduating high school in 2016, Michelle has had a passion to serve the Lord in ministry. While attending a young adults discipleship program that same year, the revelation of God’s incredible grace stirred her to a deeper surrender to God’s plans and a desire to obey His calling on her life no matter where it might lead.
Over the next several years, Michelle would work with two churches in California, a Christian camp, and return for three semesters on staff with a discipleship program in the US and Central America. While working in Student LIFE at Coast Hills, the Lord began making clear that a change was on the horizon. In July of 2023, Michelle brought 13 students for a mission trip to partner with Calvary Chapel Cajabamba and The Refuge of Hope orphanage in Peru. Seeing the work of a local, long-term, missionary family as they actively care for orphans, widows, and abuse victims—the Lord began revealing the change in ministry He had spoken back in January.
While praying for more laborers to join the harvest in Cajabamba, it became clear that the Lord was calling her to leave her job and home to join the efforts in Peru. Upon arrival in January of 2024, Michelle will be contributing to the various ministries of Calvary Chapel Cajabamba and helping with The Refuge of Hope orphanage currently under construction. Through the love and care of Jesus, abused and abandoned women and children will continue to find the healing and hope of Christ through the Gospel.
