Karen has been a part of Coast Hills since 1996 and served on staff since 2007. She has served in many ministries over the past 26 years and currently assists with Student LIFE, Women’s LIFE, and anywhere else her administrative gifts are needed. Karen is team-player at heart and has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to budgets, emails, spreadsheets, and the many other tools that are a mystery to the majority.

Karen has been married to one of our Elders, John Colston, for 34 years. They have two daughters and 6 grandchildren. The Colston family tradition involves vacationing in Yosemite every summer—a tradition going 52 years strong! Karen and her family are passionate followers of Jesus Christ, connecting with couples, leading LIFE groups, and providing a smiling face and warm hug for all who enter the doors of Coast Hills.
